Sold Out! Mike will highlight Albert Kahn's connections to the plant. Tours include an 18-minute award-winning film, followed by a 90-minute tour, including time for your questions. Get up close to more than 65 rare automobiles including Henry Ford’s “Letter Cars,” unique Model T conversion vehicles, and other antique cars manufactured in Milwaukee Junction. See Henry Ford’s office and Secret Experimental Room where the Model T was created in 1908. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in management (with a minor in labor relations) and an MBA in Human Resources from Wayne State University. During college he worked as a Heavy Press Operator at Ford Motor Company’s Dearborn Stamping Plant (a facility designed by Albert Kahn) and Chrysler Corporation’s Eight Mile Stamping Plant. His first position after he earned his bachelor’s degree was that of Production Supervisor in the College Graduate Program at Ford’s Livonia Transmission Plant. From 1988-1995 he was the Human Resources Manager for Technicolor Video Services’ Michigan operations; and from 1995-2016 he was the Human Resource Director at the PTS Group (Production Tool Supply and its affiliated companies) in Warren, Michigan. His community involvement has included the following: Dearborn Historical Society – past board member & past president; Grosse Pointe Historical Society – current board member & twice past president; Fair Lane: the Home of Clara and Henry Ford – tour guide and past advisory board member; Model T Ford Club of Detroit – 25+ year member; Henry Ford Heritage Association - founding member, past president & current historian; National Automotive History Collection - past board member; Piquette T’s Model T Ford Club - founding & current member; and the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant where he is the only board member who has served continuously since the building was acquired in 2000. He and his wife, Sandy are owners of a 1914 Model T Touring car and a 1921 Model T Touring car.
